The Dragon Boat Festival

This week has a big festival. It is the Dragon Boat Festival. This festival is in memory of a poet, Qu Yuan. He is very patriotic, but he does not get appreciate. He feels sad and jumps into the river to end his life. Many people row a boat and try to find him. However, no one find him. They do not want his corpse be eaten by fish, so they throw a lot pyramid-shaped mass of glutinous rice wrapped in leaves. Now we order to remember him, we row the dragon boat and eat pyramid-shaped mass of glutinous rice wrapped in leaves every year. Maybe one day I will join the race of the dragon boat.

In our view, Academic Writing is a serious course, but yesterday we found it was interesting. Yesterday, teacher gave us a web and asked us to practice typing. We entered the web. We found it was a game about typing. The fame showed many different words in the screen. We needed to enter right word. Did not make too much mistakes or you would game over. The word usually was a lowercase, but sometimes it was mixed a lowercase and a capital letter. This kind of word could get a lot grades. It even had a sentence. I did not enter a sentence, so I did not know what its effect was. Finally, I get the 18000 grades. It was funny. How about your grades?

Swimming

Summer is coming! The weather become hot, so people start to eat ice cream and swim. Swimming is a symbolize sport in the summer, but I can not swim. I decide to learn swimming. By chance, our physical education starts to teach swim. Teacher separates someone who can swim and who can not swim. First, teacher lead us how to kick. It needs to loosen your body. Then he teaches us how to swing our hands. My kick is not fluent, so I can not into next level. Finally, he tells us how to breathing. If I finish this three level, I just can swim front crawl stroke.

Volunteer

Nearly, We went to the hospital to be volunteer. It was a activity of my club. We decided to dance, play a drama and teach them how to make a paper flower, because it was close to Mother’s day. We prepared it for a long time. We practiced again and again. We all felt exhaust, but we were happy. At that day, we went to the hospital and announce to related people. It was very cautious that we had to wear a gauze mask in the hospital. When we went in and out a sickroom, we needed to wash hands by alcohol. All of it was avoid to infectious sickness. After that, we went to eat soybean flower to bring gifts for ourselves. To sum up, we found they were cute and sanguine. We all hoped they will be healthy soon.

3000M

In the school, there have many physical ability examination in every semester such as sit-ups, running 100m, 1600m, 3000m, swimming……etc. We had a running 3000m recently. It was a big thing to me, because I seldom did exercise. Obviously, my physical force was very poor. I was worry about that I could not finish 3000m. When the start of a race, I found that everyone ran so fast that I could not catch on the team. At the third circle, I was tired and wanted to give up, but we needed to run eight circle. I felt very painfully. Finally, I could not keep running 3000m. I walked during the examination, so I did not pass the examination. I had to run again behind a week.

Society Course

In the society course, we discuss many questions in the society. It is too serious to us, but we have to try to accept and give some advises. Sometimes, we even do not understand what the question says and what the answer it want. Although the teacher is work hard to let our join the class, we still no passion in it. However this course is not easy, it has to pay a report with 2500 words. You should read a book or article that teacher recommend. It is not easy. In our experience, this kind course usually has no exam, but we are false. It let me feel boring and upset. Why this course has exam? I am very confused. Finally, the fact can not be change, we should face this challenge.

Wow! What a beautiful song! I listen it from the movie nearly. The movie describes how this song is written. In the movie, it is written by Alex Fletcher and Sophie Fisher. Alex Fletcher is a pop star before, but now he is a lyricist. Sophie Fisher is Alex's beguilingly quirky plant lady, and she also is a writer. With a hard to come by chance, they create a song together for a superstar Cora. During the process, they fall in love for each other. I know the story behind the song. When I listen this song, I have more feeling in this song. Many songs have a long story behind then, but some people can not feel it. So it let us know this story by watching movie, it is very smart. Drama

Yesterday, we went to see a drama. The drama's title was "Father and teacher" . We felt interesting and wanted to see it, because we did not go to the drama before. When the 6 o'clock, we went to the place of performance. In front of entrance we saw there sold some DVD and remembrance, and we found the line was very long that I could not think. We were worry about it would book out, so that we could not see the drama. Luckily, it provided many seats for people that all of people could enter the performance and see the drama. It was beginning at 7 o'clock and end at 9 o'clock. To sum up, it told to us that teacher was very important in our life, and everyone could be other's teacher.

Poor Exam

We had four subjects Calculus, Physics, physics experiment and military training had exam in this month, so I felt very busy and pressure. It was too suddently to prepare for all of the exam. However, what I do, it still could not read all of then. After the exam, I felt very depressed. I could not think what grade I got, because that most of the problems I could not do. I knew sad could not change anything, it was a big lesson. Fron now on, I decide to work hard in the class. When the next time, I will ready to the exam.

The Merit Of Living In The School

Living in the school has a lot of merit. I do not live in the school before. In the beginning, I think this is very embarrassed and no private space. When I study in the CGU, the traffic is too inconvenient from my home. Because of that I should live in the school’s dorm. Now I live in the school for six month. I find that living in school is not completely bad. It still has some merit. First of all, many classmates live together that I can easy to find someone and do something together. For instance, I like to play basketball, but in the home no one can play with me. However, if I live in the school’s dorm, I do not need to worry about that. Because of that I can find my classmates easily and play together. Second, when I encounter the difficulty that I can not solve by myself, I can find my classmates to help me. For example, the physics teacher always assigns homework on the line, so we go to the web and do the work. Some problems is hard I do not know how to write. At this time, I will go to discuss with classmates. With that I can finish the homework soon, and have more time to do other things. Moreover, living dorm can not spend a lot time in the traffic, I go to school only by walk. It is very wonderful!
Indeed, living in the dorm can play and study with classmates together. It has many merit in it. Living in the school is very convenient and has a lot of fun. You must should try once in your life.

English Writing Class

In the English whiting class,we played a game.We opened the computer and writed some sentence in the computer during two minutes.When the time was up,we changed the computer and continued to write sentence.It was very hard,because sometimes you did not know what it meant,or you did not know what it was.Although that had many problem,it still needed to write something to continue the article.When you backed to your seat,you would find it became a complete article.It was interesting,because you did not know other people would write what to continue the article,but some computer was very slow.Maybe it should be fixed.I looked forward the next English writing class.

Free Writing

Tomorrow,we have a big exam in the math class,so I try to prepare for it. I thank vary afraid. Maybe I will be frank. I hope teacher can give me a chance to improve. I promise I will do my best to do better on calculus. But it is too late to regret about this, I should do my best to get the grades as possible as I can..therefore I go to Internet to search the teaching movie.but the lengh of the movie are six hours.I think I can not sleep until exam was over.But if I do not sleep I wonder can I have energy to write the exam.When the exam is finish,I think I should sleep.

A Busy Day

This Thurday,we had two activity at night.One was a club about a camp which was prepared for freshman.The meeting was very important,and the club could learn something useful.Two of them we do not want to give up,but tomorrow had to pay a report about war.We should do some choose,or we could not finish the report.We felt very confused.Finally,we decided to give up the club,so we had enough time to prepare report and joined meeting,but it still had a little pitty.

Big

Today,I saw a movie in the English class.This movie was called"Big".The story is about a little boy who is just thirteen years old.He loves baseball,so he usually plays with his best friend.One day,he looks a girl and falls in love.At once unexpected chance,he is so fool in front of that girl.Because he's height isn't enough to play a fun fair's building.As he feels terrible,he looks a game box which can make a wish.He says he wants to be taller.The next morning,he finds he becomes thirty years old.He is too shock to believe it.Then he listens his best friend's suggestion.He goes to the New York and finds a work.He tries to find that game box and comes back.During this course,he and a girl fall in love,and he earns many money.He is lost.He doesn't know what is he want.Finally,he finds what kind of life he loves,and he finds the game box to come back. People always get lost in the fame and money.We do actually think what we want!

Football

Last Monday,our class had a football competition.Football was very uncommon,in Taiwan.It was a few people playing football,so almost people's skill was very poor.As I found I was one of participants,I was too surprised to speak.Many team was given up.Because they thought it was embarrassed,so did us.In the competition arena,we saw many team had uniform and formal equipment.Our wearing was free and unformal.We played two competition.We won one competition,but we lost the other.However we did not regret to join this competition.It is very expensive experience to us.
